Classroom jobs are held for two weeks. It is your responsibility to do your job to the best of your ability. Make sure you read your job description below so you know what to do!

Line Leader You will be first in line when we walk in the hallway. It is your responsibility to keep an eye on Mrs. Hulsopple and pay attention to her directions. You should also know where all stopping points are located along the hallways.
Caboose You will be the last in line when we walk in the hallway. It is your responsibility to shut the door behind us. It is also your responsibility to take the lunch bag outside to recess and give each person Germ-X before going inside to lunch.
Lunch/Attendance It is your responsibility to take lunch count and attendance on the form provided in the clear lunch box under the calendar. Make sure you fill out the form completely and count correctly. You will complete this task after the Pledge on the announcements.
Lunch Cards It is your responsibility to put the lunch cards in the appropriate slot in the Lunch Cards chart. The lunch basket will be placed on the front desk by the door. You should complete your job before we check morning work.
Messenger It is your responsibility to run any messages or errands to other teachers or the offices. This also includes taking lunch money up to Ms. Oliver in the office. If people bring money to school, they will put it in the money drawer. You should complete this part of your job before we check morning work.
Post Office Personnel It is your responsibility to file papers in the appropriate mailbox. You should complete your job in any spare time you may have during the day. The job must be completed before recess on Monday so papers are ready to go home. You will also be responsible for calling students to get their mail before dismissal. Make sure you call 2-3 students at a time so the mail center does not get crowded.
Grounds Keeper It is your responsibility to keep our classroom neat and clean. Specifically, you should erase the white board at the end of the day and move all lunch magnets to the right of the lunch count area. You should also double check that all chairs are pushed in neatly on the desks and that no clutter appears on top of the desk. If need be, you should inform a student of a need in their desk area. On the second Friday of your position, you will be responsible for the Neatest Desk Award. This award should be given to the desk that is the cleanest inside and out. See Mrs. Hulsopple for that Friday's award.
Substitute It is your responsibility to complete any job for a person who is absent. If multiple students are absent, you should complete all jobs as needed.
Lights It is your responsibility to turn the lights off when we leave the classroom. You should also turn the front two lights off during a video clip and then turn them on when we finish.
On Vacation! You do not have any responsibilities during this job. You are literally "On Vacation!"
Fish Feeder It is your responsibility to feed the fish. This should be done first thing in the morning and right before we go home. The fish should receive one small pinch of food for each feeding.
Projector Person It is your responsibility to turn on the projector. You should press the Power button and hold it until it beeps to turn the projector on. To turn it off, press the Power button twice. Most of the time, when we come to the carpet, we will need the projector turned on. Mrs. Hulsopple will probably remind you if you forget!
Date Doctor It is your responsibility to change the date in various places around our room. You should take down the previous day's cut-out and place in the correct envelope in the flowered container under the calendar. You should also change the magnetic date under the calendar. You should also change both block calendars in the room (one is by the door and one is on Mrs. Hulsopple's desk).
Behavior Cards It is your responsibility to keep track of any card flips in our classroom. You will complete the Behavior Card Chart before we leave to go home each day using the colored markers in the cup on the table by the chart. Make sure to turn all behavior cards back to green with a sticker when you are finished so we are ready to begin again tomorrow. It is also your responsibility to place a letter for TIGER PRIDE on the bulletin board when we have earned it. Make sure to verify this earning with Mrs. Hulsopple before placing the letter.
Sticker Saavy It is your responsibility to place stickers on our various incentive charts throughout the room. This includes the Math Masters chart (+, -, x, and /), Monday Mail Folders Return, and Honor Time Recipients. For the Monday Mail Folder Returns, you should check the paper in the middle of each Monday Mail Folder returned on Tuesday for a parent signature to see who receives stickers. Otherwise, Mrs. Hulsopple will try to remember to get a list to you often, as well as provide you with stickers when needed.
Door Manager It is your responsibility to open the door when you hear a knock. Make sure you know the person knocking and do NOT open our door to strangers. Make sure you are listening for knocks so the person does not have to wait long. You should also make sure the classroom door is shut at ALL times except bathroom taps, when it should stay opened a crack.

Thanks for all your hard work to help make our classroom run smoothly!
